What the Insights page shows (reports and analytics)
The Insights page gives you a data picture of how your locations are doing. It includes:
- KPI cards: walk-ins, served, average wait, average visit (serve) time, no-show rate, people who left the line, estimated revenue and average star rating, each compared with the previous period. Click a card to see its trend.
- Walk-ins per day: a bar chart over the selected dates, with the previous period overlaid.
- Heat map: your busiest hours and days of the week.
- Wait accuracy: how close quoted waits came to the real ones.
- Service stats: visits, share and estimated revenue per service, and expected versus measured time.
- Staff speed: each team member's median time per service (after enough visits).
- Now: today's numbers in real time.
Use Customize to choose which cards and charts appear; your layout is saved per browser.
Change the date range or location in Insights
Use the date picker at the top of the Insights page to choose 7, 30 or 90 days, or any custom range. The default is the last 30 days, and visit history goes back about 400 days (13 months). Use the location picker to see one location or all of them together.
Test visits are never counted. Revenue figures are estimates from your list prices times served visits, and only show when you use prices in your catalog. Times on the charts use each location's own time zone, so check that the time zone in Location settings is right.
Export visits to Excel (download your data)
On the Insights page, click Excel in the top right. You get two options:
- Summary stats: the same numbers you see on screen, as a workbook.
- Every visit: one row per visit with name, join time, wait time, service, team member and outcome.
Both respect the current location and date filters, up to about 400 days. A CSV visit export is also available. Owners can always download; owners choose whether managers can too. Exports are recorded in the activity log.
Other downloads: your catalog exports to CSV or Excel, the Activity page downloads to Excel, and payout, statement and payroll files come from the Payouts and Payroll pages. There isn't one self-serve export of all business data; if you need a full copy before leaving, email support@nextupwalkin.com.
Activity log (audit trail of who changed what)
The Activity page is a record of what has happened in your account, with who did it, when and from where: sign-ins, location created, renamed, settings changed or deleted, staff PIN changes and staff screen logins, team members invited, role changed or removed, billing changes, catalog edits, branding changes, exports, and more.
Use the filters at the top to narrow by date range, person, or type of action, or search. Click Load older to go further back (the page covers the past year). Click Excel to download every event matching your filters, which is useful for compliance or reviewing an incident. Only owners can read the business's activity. Activity records are kept for three years.
Busiest times and staffing
The heat map on the Insights page shows which hours and days of the week get the most walk-ins, corrected for how many of each weekday fall in your date range. Darker cells mean more traffic. Use it to schedule more team members on busy hours, and to plan flash sales or promotions for slow periods.
The no-show rate and "left the line" count show how many customers you're losing. If many people leave, try lowering the line cap, stopping walk-ins earlier before closing, or sharing your status page so customers can check the wait before coming.
