A self check-in kiosk on a tablet by your door
Stand any iPad or Android tablet at the entrance and walk-ins add themselves to the line the moment they arrive, without scanning anything. A name, a tap, and they see their place and wait. Then the screen resets for the next person.
- Any iPad or Android tablet
- No app to install
- Resets after every check-in
- Spot goes with them by QR
Self check-in at the door
The Door Tablet shows one simple “Join the line” form. Nobody has to stop at the desk or find a QR code to scan.
- A name is enough.First and last name, plus a phone number if your location asks for one.
- Your questions, too. They pick services or answer your intake questions on the same screen, if you set them up.
- Place and wait, right away.A confirmation shows their position and estimated wait as soon as they join.
- Take the spot with them.A QR code on the confirmation puts their place on their own phone, so they can wait outside.
Private for every customer
A shared tablet should never show one person’s details to the next. This one doesn’t.
- Resets on its own. After each check-in the screen clears and goes back to “Join the line”.
- Nothing pre-filled.The Door Tablet never saves or pre-fills one customer’s details for the next.
- Locked to check-in.Turn on Guided Access on an iPad, or Screen Pinning on Android, with a passcode only your team knows.
Set up in a few minutes
There is nothing to buy from us and nothing to install. The Door Tablet is a link that runs in the tablet’s browser.
- Open the link.Open the Door Tablet link from your Locations page. It ends in /kiosk.
- Keep it awake.Set auto-lock or the screen timeout to never.
- Put it where they walk in.Mount or stand it by the entrance at eye level, in portrait.
- The same line everywhere.Check-ins from the tablet join the same line as phones, so the Staff Screen and the TV show them at once.

Who it’s for
Barbershop
A tablet by the door means nobody interrupts a cut to take a name.
Hair salon
Clients pick their services as they check in, so the wait counts a color differently from a trim.
Service counter
A take-a-number without the paper ticket: people tap in, then wait anywhere until they are called.
The small things
Or skip the tablet
Customers can also join by scanning your QR code or from your Instagram, Google or website link.
Pair it with a TV
The waiting-room TV shows who is called and who is next, with a code to join.
Keep it charged
Run a cable to the stand so the tablet stays on all day.
Questions
What is a check-in kiosk?
A screen by your entrance where walk-ins add themselves to the line. With NextUp Walk-in it is the Door Tablet: any iPad or Android tablet running your Door Tablet link.
Do I need special kiosk hardware?
No. Any iPad or Android tablet works. Lock it to the one screen with Guided Access on an iPad or Screen Pinning on Android.
Does the kiosk keep customer details?
No. After each check-in the screen resets, and it never saves or pre-fills one customer’s details for the next.
Can customers leave after checking in at the kiosk?
Yes. The confirmation shows a QR code that puts their place on their own phone, so they can wait outside and come back when called.
