Walk-in and Pro

Draw your shop, see who is free

Draw your chairs and stations, put a team member on each, and see at a glance which are open, busy or offline. Seat a customer by picking a chair.

  • Chairs and stations
  • Open, busy or offline, live
  • Seat from the map
  • Several floors

Draw the shop you actually have

Owners place chairs and stations, name each one, and put a team member on it. Add the rest of the room if you like.

  • Chairs and stations.Drag, resize and turn them with a mouse, touch or the keyboard.
  • The room around them.Walls, doors, a front desk, a waiting area, a wash station, a TV, stairs and a restroom.
  • More than one floor.Add floors, and set the room’s shape on each.
  • One person, one chair.A team member works at most one chair or station, so picking a chair picks the person.
Example: the Layout Map editor for a barbershop.

Who is free, right now

Anyone who works at the location sees each chair live, from the line.

  • Open. The person is on duty and free.
  • Busy.Serving someone. It shows the client’s first name and how long.
  • Offline.Nobody on the chair, or the person is off duty.
Example: the live view during a busy afternoon.

Seat by picking a chair

On the Staff Screen, Seat can pick a chair from the map, and so its barber, stylist or technician.

  • No guessing.See who is free before you call the next person.
  • Can’t seat an empty chair.A chair with nobody on it shows offline and can’t be picked.
  • On your TV.The TV Display can show the chair map, and you can turn that off.
  • Kept private. The public map shows only a chair’s name and status, never a person or a client.
Example: picking a chair from the Staff Screen.

How it works

  1. 1

    Draw it

Place your chairs and stations and name each one.

  2. 2

    Put people on chairs

Choose the team member who works each chair or station.

  3. 3

    Seat from the map

Your team sees live status and picks a chair to seat the next customer.

Who it’s for

  • Barbershop

Four chairs, a wash station and a waiting area. The front desk sees which barber is free and seats the next walk-in there.

  • Salon

Stations upstairs and down, each named for the stylist who works it, with the wash station on the map.

  • Tattoo studio

Artists’ stations in a row. The front desk sees who is mid-session and who can take a walk-in.

The small things

  • Anyone who works there

The live view is open to the whole team at the location.

  • Saved safely

A save over someone else’s newer version is refused, so you never overwrite a change.

  • TV screens

Mark the TVs on your map to place them in the room.

Questions

Which plans have the Layout Map?

The Walk-in and Pro plans, and the free trial. It is not on the Free plan, and restaurants use the floor plan instead.

What happens if I downgrade to Free?

Your saved map is kept, and it comes back when you upgrade.

Does the TV show my clients’ names?

No. The public map shows only each chair’s name and status, never a team member or a client.
