Your calendar and your bookings agree

Each team member can connect their Google Calendar. Personal events close those times for booking, and their appointments appear on their calendar.

  • Set per person
  • Personal events close slots
  • Appointments on your calendar
  • Apple, Google or Outlook links

Connect Google Calendar, one person at a time

Open the team member’s profile from the Staff page, or let them do it from their own sign-in, and follow the Google prompt.

  • Set per person. One person connecting their calendar doesn’t affect anyone else.
  • Personal events close times.A dentist visit on their calendar stops customers booking that time.
  • Appointments go the other way.Their NextUp Walk-in appointments appear on their calendar.
  • Only real openings.Customers booking online see times when that person is actually free.
Example: a stylist’s profile at Sage & Shear Salon.

It works with hours and blocked time

Sync adds to the rules you already set. It never replaces weekly hours or time you block yourself.

  • Weekly hours. Each person has their own hours for taking bookings.
  • Blocked time.A whole day, a range of days, a few hours, or a weekly repeat for up to a year.
  • Anyone bookings. When a customer books “anyone”, a time closes only when nobody on the team is free.
  • Team members block their own time.Owners and managers can block anyone’s.
Example: which times customers can book.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open the profile

From the Staff page, or from the team member’s own sign-in.

  2. 2

    Allow Google Calendar

Follow the Google sign-in prompt to allow access to the calendar.

  3. 3

    Take bookings

Personal events close those times, and appointments appear on their calendar.

Who it’s for

  • Barbershop

A barber who coaches Saturday mornings puts it on Google Calendar once, and those slots never get booked.

  • Salon

Stylists who keep a personal calendar see every color appointment on it, beside the school pickup.

  • Massage studio

A therapist who teaches a weekly class blocks it from her own calendar, not from the front desk.

The small things

  • Self-serve

Team members can connect from their own sign-in.

  • No effect on others

Each person connects, or doesn’t, on their own.

  • Hours stay yours

Weekly hours and blocked time keep working alongside sync.

No. Sync is set per person, so only that team member’s times are affected.
