Every plan

Hand your accountant the whole month

The Accounting page gathers sales, tax, tips, fees and payouts for any period, with files your accountant can open or import. It also checks that the numbers tie.

  • PDF, Excel and CSV
  • QuickBooks and Xero journal
  • Numbers checked to tie
  • Lock closed days

One download, everything inside

Pick a month, a quarter, a year, the year to date or your own dates. Download all, or take any single report from its row.

  • Complete report. One PDF with a cover page, a table of contents and every report, with links and bookmarks.
  • Complete workbook. One Excel file with a Contents tab and a tab for each report.
  • Full package.A ZIP with both, plus every report as its own PDF, Excel workbook and CSV.
  • One location or several.Choose one, a few, or leave it on all locations.
Example: the Accounting page for Fade Room Barbershop.

The reports your accountant asks for

Each one is built from your real bills and payments, so there is nothing to retype.

  • Summary.Sales by category, refunds, card fees, sales tax, tips and deposits held for others.
  • Payment methods and tax.Cash, pay link, saved card, card reader and gift cards, with tax by location and rate.
  • Transactions.Every payment with its bill number, client, tip, refunds and Stripe payment.
  • Exceptions.Cancelled bills, refunds and lowered prices, by who did them and who approved them.
Example: the Transactions report.

Check that it ties, then lock it

The page checks its own work, and once the period is closed an owner can lock it.

  • Bills add up.It checks that bills equal what paid them and that card bills are in NextUp Walk-in’s payment records.
  • Stripe matches. It checks what arrived in your Stripe account. Press Sync with Stripe first; the package does it for you.
  • Balances reconcile.Tips against team statements, gift card balances and store credit against their history.
  • Lock the books. An owner locks through a finished day. Cash tips and close-outs on or before it can’t change.
Example: the checks and the lock at the bottom of the page.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick the period

Open Accounting under Money. Choose the dates and the locations.

  2. 2

    Download

Take the complete report, the workbook or the full package, or one report from its row.

  3. 3

    Send it on

Give your accountant the files, or import the journal CSV into QuickBooks or Xero.

Who it’s for

  • Barbershop

At month end the owner downloads the full package. Sales, tips by barber and the sales tax all arrive in one ZIP.

  • Salon

Booth rent, gift cards and each stylist’s sales and product commission have their own lines in the reports.

  • Restaurant

Daily sales, sales tax by rate and tips by server come from the bills paid at the table.

The small things

  • QuickBooks and Xero

A chart of accounts and a journal CSV that imports into either.

  • Gift cards, deposits and more

Issued, redeemed and still owed, plus deposits, packages, memberships and booth rent when you use them.

  • Numbered bills

Bill 1, 2, 3 at each location, with no gaps, on the checkout and the receipt.

  • Your time zone

Days and months follow each location’s own time zone.

  • Payroll on its own page

Commission, hours and pay for your payroll provider are on the Payroll page.
