Is your shop typical, or ahead?

At the bottom of Insights, How you compare sets your median wait, no-show rate, rebook rate and average ticket beside other businesses of the same type and size on NextUp Walk-in.

  • Four measures
  • Same type and size
  • Last 90 days
  • Never one business

Four numbers that tell you where you stand

Each one is shown beside the typical figure for businesses like yours.

  • Median wait. How long people wait in the line.
  • No-show rate. How many booked or called customers don’t turn up.
  • Rebook rate.Clients with a phone number who came more than once.
  • Average ticket.What a visit is worth.
Example: your figure beside the group’s typical one.

Fair comparisons

You are compared with businesses like yours, not the whole platform.

  • Same type. One of the business types NextUp Walk-in is built for, so a restaurant isn’t set against a barbershop.
  • Same size. One location, two to three, or four or more.
  • The typical figure and the middle half. You see the group’s typical number and the range most of them fall in.
  • Last 90 days.Updated once a day, with test visits left out.
Example: the group your figures are compared with.

Never any one business

Benchmarks only show up when there is enough data, and they only ever describe a group.

  • At least 10 businesses.A measure shows only once at least 10 businesses have enough visits for it.
  • Honest when there isn’t enough.Until then it says there aren’t enough similar businesses yet.
  • No single business is shown. You see the group’s typical figure and its middle half, nothing about any one shop.
  • For owners and managers. The comparison sits at the bottom of the Insights page.
Example: what you see until enough similar businesses have data.
