Your clients’ app, with your name on it

Clients see their place in line, their visits and your wait in the NextUp app, in your colors. When you turn messaging on, they write to your team without anyone sharing a cell number.

  • Five tabs, your colors
  • Book and join the line
  • Messages without cell numbers
  • Clients connect only through you

What your clients see, tab by tab

Five tabs, in your colors and with your name at the top. It follows their phone’s light or dark mode.

  • Home.Whether you are open, the wait, their next visit, and buttons to book, join the line, message you and get directions.
  • Book.Your own booking and Check-in Page, with their name and email already filled in.
  • Calendar.Every appointment and visit with you by month, and what is coming up next.
  • Messages and Account.Their conversations with your team, and their details, visits and receipts.
Example: a client’s phone when their turn comes.

Clients connect only through you

Being on your client list never adds anyone. Nobody sees your business in their app unless you sent them your link.

  • Share your app link.Send it, put it on your website and booking page, or add the app block to an email campaign. Each location has its own link.
  • Or show the QR code.Print it for the counter, or read out the 8-character invite code. Clients type it into the app.
  • Sign in with a code.Google, Apple or Facebook, or a one-time code by email with no password. They are linked to their client profile by email or mobile number.
  • You stay in control.Make a new link any time and the old link and QR code stop working. Clients already connected stay connected.
Example: the Client App page in the dashboard.

Messages you answer

Turn on “Let clients message your team” and they pick who to write to: a team member or your business as a whole.

  • No personal numbers.Clients write to their barber, stylist or your business without anyone giving out a cell number.
  • Right person sees it.Owners and managers see every conversation under Messages. A team member with their own sign-in sees only the ones addressed to them.
  • Alerts both ways.A new message shows in the bell, and on phones with the NextUp app. Your reply reaches the client as a notification.
  • Off until you are ready.Messaging stays off until you turn it on. Messages are limited to 2,000 characters, and a client can send up to 60 an hour.
Example: the Messages list for an owner.

Questions

Can clients use the app on an iPhone?

Clients can use the NextUp app for Android from Google Play. The iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store. Until then, on an iPhone your link opens the same screens in the phone’s browser.

Does everyone on my client list get added?

No. Clients connect only with your link or code. Being on your client list never connects anyone.

What if my subscription lapses?

If your account is read-only because the subscription is not paid, you can still answer messages, but clients cannot send new ones.

What if a team member leaves?

The client can still read that conversation, but writes to the business instead.
