A vet clinic waitlist app that keeps the waiting room calm.

Owners check in from their phone or your front-desk tablet, wait in the car with their pet, and get a text when the exam room is ready. Your TV shows each pet with its owner.

What walk-ins are like today

The stuff that eats a shift, before anything changes.

  • A waiting room full of nervous pets

Barking dogs, frightened cats and sick animals share one small room while owners wait their turn.

  • Walk-ins on top of a full schedule

Same-day sick visits arrive between booked exams, and the front desk has to juggle both.

  • The phone never stops

"How long is the wait?" calls pull your front desk away from the people standing in front of it.

How NextUp helps

What changes once the line lives on a phone instead of a bench.

1

Wait in the car

Owners hold their place from their phone and wait outside with their pet. If they opt in, a text calls them in.

2

Pets first on the screen

The TV and staff screen show the pet’s name with the owner beside it, so everyone knows who is being called.

3

Visit reasons, not prices

Owners pick the closest reason, like a sick pet, vaccines or a nail trim, so the team knows what is coming.

See it for your veterinary clinics

Five screens, one system, always in sync — styled the way your customers and team will actually see it.

Veterinary clinics: common questions

Can owners wait in the car with their pet?

Yes. Owners join from their phone and hold their place. If they opt in, they get a text when the exam room is ready, so anxious or sick pets can stay out of the waiting room.

Can we take walk-ins and booked appointments together?

Yes. Appointments sit beside the walk-in line, and confirmations and reminders go out 24 hours and 1 hour before. Walk-in hours and booked exams show on the same screens.

Can we keep track of vaccine due dates?

Yes. Health records hold each pet’s vaccinations with their due dates, and show which are current, expiring soon or expired.

Is NextUp a practice management system?

No. NextUp runs your walk-in line, check-in and appointments. It does not keep medical records or connect to practice management software.

How much does a vet clinic queue app cost?

NextUp is $29 a month for your first location and $19 for each additional one. Every plan includes the TV screen, the door tablet, appointments and 1,000 texts per location each month, then $0.05 a text. There are no per-seat fees. The 14-day free trial needs a card, but nothing is charged until it ends.
