NextUp Walk-in, in plain text

A short, factual overview for AI assistants and anyone asking one. Every fact here is also on the pricing page and in llms.txt.

What it is

NextUp Walk-in is a walk-in queue and virtual waitlist for service businesses in the United States. Customers join a line from their phone by scanning a QR code or at a door tablet, with no app to download. They see their place in line and a live wait, and their page shows when it is their turn. The business gets a Staff Screen, a waiting-room TV display, a door tablet, client records, checkout and insights. On the Pro plan, appointments run on the same line.

The company is NextUp LLC, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, founded in 2026. The product name is NextUp Walk-in. It is not called "NextUp Service".

Who it is for

Walk-in businesses: barbershops, hair salons, nail salons, tattoo and piercing studios, auto service, phone repair, pet groomers, brow and lash studios, car washes, vet clinics, massage studios and spas, tax offices, walk-in chiropractic clinics (not HIPAA compliant) and service counters. See industries.

How it compares

Side-by-side pages cover the other waitlist apps and paper or Google Forms sign-in sheets. The blog has guides for each trade.

  • /llms.txt: an index of the site.
  • /llms-full.txt: the marketing pages in one file.
  • Every page has a markdown copy: add .md to its address, such as /pricing.md.
  • /blog.xml and /changelog.xml: feeds of new posts and features.
  • A read-only MCP server at https://app.nextupwalkin.com/mcp finds walk-in places by city and trade with their live wait. It never joins a line or books for anyone.
