Hours your team already records

Once you turn it on, the on duty switch on the Staff Screen records each person’s shifts. No new app for the team, and hours that feed payroll.

  • Uses the on duty switch
  • Forgotten shifts ended at closing
  • Every fix is logged
  • Feeds payroll and tip pools

Clock in by going on duty

Your team already marks who’s working. The time clock turns that switch into a record of each person’s shifts.

  • An owner turns it on.After that, the on duty switch on the Staff Screen records shifts.
  • Forgotten shifts end themselves.A shift left on an hour past closing time is ended at closing time.
  • Flagged for you. That person is switched off duty, and the shift is flagged for you to check.
  • Their own hours. Each person’s book shows their own hours this week.
Example: shifts at Fade Room Barbershop.

Fix a mistake, keep the record

Owners and managers can add, fix and delete shifts. Every change is logged with before and after.

  • Add a missed shift.Someone forgot to switch on? Add the shift yourself.
  • Any period.See hours per person for any period you choose.
  • Before and after. Each edit is logged, so there is a trail.
Example: correcting a shift that ran past closing.

The hours go where you need them

Recorded hours feed payroll and tip pools shared by hours worked.

  • Payroll files.Hours go into the file for Gusto, ADP, QuickBooks Payroll or another provider.
  • Checks before you run.NextUp Walk-in flags open shifts and shifts to check first.
  • Tip pools by hours.Split a pool by hours worked, straight from the clock.
  • You run payroll.NextUp Walk-in doesn’t run payroll itself. It gives you the files.
Example: hours ready for a payroll file.

How it works

  1. 1

    Turn it on

An owner switches on the time clock.

  2. 2

    Go on duty

Your team uses the on duty switch on the Staff Screen, as before.

  3. 3

    Review the hours

Check any flagged shift, fix what needs fixing, and send hours to payroll.

Who it’s for

  • Barbershop

Barbers switch on duty at the start of a shift. Hours settle tip pools and payroll files without a paper sheet.

  • Restaurant

Servers go on duty at shift start. The week’s hours split the tip pool and go to payroll.

  • Nail salon

Technicians clock in with the switch they already use, and the owner fixes a forgotten shift in seconds.

The small things

  • My hours

Each person sees their own hours this week.

  • Flagged shifts

A shift ended at closing is marked for you to check.

  • A log of changes

Every add, fix and delete is logged.
