Switch from Booksy to NextUp Walk-in
Moving a client list from Booksy. Booksy’s help center says it sends the list on request.
SWITCH: Your first month is free with the code SWITCH when you subscribe on monthly billing, and we will help you import your client list. The 14-day free trial comes first and has every Pro feature.
1. Export your clients from Booksy
- Booksy’s help center says to contact its support team at info.us@booksy.com and ask for a copy of your client list with contact details.
- Ask for it as a spreadsheet. When it arrives, keep the file as it is for the import below.
- Booksy’s Stats & Reports (under your profile) emails an Excel file of reports for a period you pick. Those are reports, not a client list.
Booksy: How do I obtain a copy of my Client List from Booksy?Booksy: How do I download reports from Booksy?Checked on . Their pages change, so follow the labels on your screen.
2. Import them into NextUp Walk-in
- In your NextUp Walk-in dashboard, open Clients, then Import clients. Only the owner can import.
- Drop the file in as it is (Excel, CSV or vCard). You do not need to rename or reorder columns: NextUp Walk-in matches them, and you can change any match.
- Check the preview. Every row shows whether it is new, an update, unchanged or an error, and nothing is saved until you confirm.
- Confirm. The import is kept under Past imports, with a report you can download.
Clients you bring in with Import clients are records for your team. NextUp Walk-in doesn’t text them or add them to email campaigns or rebooking emails; a client gets those after agreeing at check-in. Emailing a past client list is a separate, one-time step on the Pro plan (Email Marketing), where each client is first welcomed with an unsubscribe link.
3. Bring your services
- We did not find a services export on Booksy’s help pages. Copy your service names, lengths and prices from your Booksy services list into the NextUp Walk-in template below.
- Open Catalog, then Import a spreadsheet, and download the blank template (the columns and three example rows).
- Copy your services into it: name, length and price. An import can have up to 1,000 rows and 1 MB.
- Upload it and check the preview of every row. Nothing is saved until you confirm.
What is different
- NextUp Walk-in has no marketplace app: your booking page and link show only your business.
- Walk-in and Pro include 3 team members per location, then $10 a month each. Booksy charges $20 per extra staff member on its own pricing page; see the side-by-side on the comparison page.
- Walk-ins are the center of the app: a live line, a TV display for the waiting area and a door tablet. Appointments and online booking are on the Pro plan.
Questions
Can I get my clients out of Booksy myself?
Booksy’s help center tells owners to contact its support team for a copy of the client list, so the first step is an email to them. The date its pages were read is on this guide.
