What You Do

  • An owner turns on “Pay over time (Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, Zip, Sunbit)” in the Payment methods table on the dashboard’s Payments page. It is off until they do, and one switch covers all five.
  • Stripe has to allow the method for your business too. The table shows Stripe’s answer (Approved, In review or Not approved yet); until Stripe approves it, your pay pages offer only the methods Stripe accepts.
  • Sunbit doesn’t serve every kind of business. Stripe’s approval answer decides, and when it says no, your pay pages simply don’t offer Sunbit.
  • Sunbit needs no hardware and no change to how you ring up a bill.

Good to Know

  • Sunbit appears only when the payment is between $60 and $19,999.99, so it suits larger bills, packages and gift cards.
  • Sunbit is for consumers only, not for business customers.
  • A booking deposit paid with Sunbit keeps no card on file for a no-show fee.
  • NextUp Walk-in’s card fee is worked out on these payments the same way as on card payments. Stripe’s own fee for them is higher than for cards and is on Stripe’s pricing page.
  • Whether a customer is approved, and on what terms, is Sunbit’s decision.
