Switching from Fresha
Switch from Fresha to NextUp Walk-in
Give your walk-ins a line they can see.
NextUp Walk-in puts walk-ins first: they join from a QR code, watch their place live on their phone, and see their name called on your waiting-room TV. Priced per location, not per team member.

Why shops switch from Fresha
A walk-in line people can see
Clients scan, join with no app or account, and step out while they wait. Your TV calls the next name, with its own apps for Apple TV, Roku and Fire TV.
One price per location, not per team member
Walk-in is $29 a month with 3 team members included, then $10 each. For a 4-person shop that is $39, or $69 on Pro with online booking, against $59.80 on Fresha's Team plan at $14.95 per team member.
No marketplace commission
NextUp Walk-in has no marketplace listing other shops, so there is no new-client commission. Fresha charges a one-time 20% commission, at least $6, on new clients who find you through its marketplace.
Every app in the price
Staff Screen, TV Display, Door Tablet and the phone apps come with every paid plan, and card payments are live through your own Stripe account.
Switch in an afternoon
Export your client list from Fresha
Fresha's help center says to open Clients, click Options and choose CSV or Excel. You need the permission to download clients.
Import it yourself
In your dashboard, open Clients, then Switch from another app, and pick Fresha. Drop the file in and check every row before anything is saved.
Put up your QR code and pair the TV
Print your QR code for the door, open the NextUp app on your TV and type in the six-character code it shows.
Questions
Will I keep my clients?
Yes. You export the list from Fresha and import it yourself: names, phones and emails, matched so nobody is added twice. Fresha's help center says card details can't be exported, so clients add a card again. Imported clients are records for your team; NextUp Walk-in doesn’t text or email them until they agree at check-in.
What about the appointments already on my Fresha calendar?
The import doesn’t bring booked appointments over, so let the ones already on Fresha run their course while new bookings start here. Appointments and online booking are on the Pro plan, with email reminders (text alerts coming soon).
Can I bring my gift cards and packages?
Yes, on every plan: gift card balances, store credit and packages with the sessions each client has left (memberships on Pro). You type the balances into the NextUp template, and gift cards and store credit can be undone for 7 days.
Will I pay less?
On the subscription, usually. Fresha's Team plan is $14.95 a month for each bookable team member (Independent, for one person, is $19.95). NextUp Walk-in is $29 (Walk-in) or $59 (Pro, with online booking) per location with 3 team members included, then $10 each, so Walk-in costs less from 2 people up and Pro from 6. Card payments are different: Fresha lists 2.29% + 20¢ in person and 2.79% + 20¢ online. NextUp Walk-in's card fee is 0.5% of card payments, never on tips, at most $1 a payment, on top of Stripe's processing fee. If most of your takings are by card, compare both on the side-by-side page.
