Your business, on your regulars’ home screen

Invite your clients to the NextUp Walk-in app and your business opens in your colors, with your name at the top. They book, join the line, keep their appointments and message your team, all without a password.

  • Your hours, today’s wait and whether you’re open, on the first screen
  • Book or join the line in a tap, with their details already filled in
  • A calendar of their appointments and visits with you, receipts included
  • Message the business, or the barber or stylist they always see
  • A notification when they’re called, and when you reply
  • Only businesses that invited them show up. No ads, no other shops.

What your clients see, tab by tab

Five tabs, in your colors and with your name at the top. It follows their phone’s light or dark mode, so it always looks at home.

  1. Home

Your look and name, whether you’re open, the wait and their next visit.

  2. Book

Your own booking and check-in page, with their name and email already in.

  3. Calendar

Every appointment and visit with you by month, and what’s coming up next.

  4. Messages

Message the business or their own barber, without sharing a cell number.

How your clients get your app

Clients connect only through you. Being on your client list never adds anyone, and nobody sees your business unless you sent them your link.

  1. 1

    Share your app link

Text or email it, put it on your website and booking page, or add the app block to an email campaign. Each location has its own link.

  2. 2

    Or show the QR code

Print it for the counter or the mirror, or read out the 8-character invite code. Clients type it into the app, and they’re in.

  3. 3

They sign in with a code

A one-time code by email, no password. They land on your business, linked to their client profile by email or mobile number.

  • You control the linkMake a new one any time; the old link and QR code stop working.
  • Messaging when you're readyIt stays off until you turn it on, so clients write only once you're ready.
  • Replies reach their phoneEach answer arrives as a notification, even with the app closed.

The waiting room, and the front door

The TV shows who’s being called and who’s next, with a chime and their name said out loud. Turn on the call-up spotlight, a full-screen “You’re up!” with their team member’s photo, and rotating content between calls. The tablet by the door lets walk-ins join without their phone.

Questions about the apps

Can I sign in with a passkey?

Yes, on the website now. A passkey (Face ID, fingerprint or device PIN) counts as both sign-in factors. It is coming to the Android app; until then, sign in there with your password and authenticator code. The iPhone app is coming soon, and in a browser on an iPhone a passkey works today.

Do my customers have to download the app to join the line?

No. Anyone can join from your QR code or link in their phone’s browser, with no app and no account. The app is for the regulars you invite: their bookings, calendar and messages with your team in one place.

Will my clients see other businesses in the app?

No. A client only sees businesses that invited them with their own app link, QR code or invite code. There’s no marketplace, no ads and no “similar places nearby”.

Does the app cost extra?

No. Every NextUp Walk-in app, phone, tablet and TV, is included in every plan, for you, your team and your clients.

When can I download it?

The apps for Android, Apple TV, Roku and Fire TV are out now. The iPhone, iPad, LG and Samsung apps are coming soon. Until then everything runs in a browser: your app link opens the same client screens on any phone, and the dashboard, staff screen and TV work in any browser today.

Set it up once. Use it on everything.

Start in a browser today. When the apps arrive, sign in with the same account and everything is already there.
