- One search box
- Clients, team, pages and help
- g then a letter to go
- Press ? for the list

## One box for everything

Open search from the top bar, with / or with Ctrl K (⌘K on a Mac). Results are grouped, with a few of each kind so every kind gets a look in.

- **Clients.**By name, email or phone. A phone number matches on its digits, so “(555) 123” finds the number however it was typed.
- **Team.**Team members by name, with the location they work at.
- **Pages and settings.**Any dashboard page you can open, and each location’s settings sections, such as Basics, Appointments and Messages.
- **Screens and help.**A location’s screens, and the help articles.

**Search · “dana”Dana Kowalski**Client · (555) 012-3456

**Dana Reyes**Team · Main Street

**Adding a client**Help

↑ ↓ to move · Enter to open · Esc to close

Example: results for a name.

## Useful before you type a thing

Open search with nothing typed and it offers where you have just been and the jobs you do most.

- **Recent pages.**The pages you opened lately, so getting back is one key and Enter.
- **Quick actions.**Add to line, Book appointment, Take payment and Add client run from the same box.
- **Full screen on a phone.**On a small screen search takes the whole screen, so results are easy to read and tap.

**SearchClients**Recent

**Calendar**Recent

**Add to line**Action

**Book appointment**Action

Nothing typed yet

Example: search before typing.

## g, then a letter

Press g, then the page’s letter within a moment, and you are there. The list is built from the pages you can open.

- **Easy to remember.**g h is Home, g c Clients, g a Calendar, g o Checkout, g s Staff, g m Messages and g i Insights.
- **Only your pages.**You can reach only the pages you can open, so a manager never lands on an owner-only page.
- **Press ? for the list.**A dialog lists every shortcut you have, with its letters.
- **Never in the way.**Shortcuts are off while you are typing in a field or have a dialog open.

**Go to Calendar**g then a

**Go to Checkout**g then o

## N on the calendar

On the Calendar, press N to find the next opening without reaching for a button.

- **Next available.**N opens Find next available, the dialog that lists the next openings that fit.
- **Not while typing.**It does nothing in a field or with a dialog open, so it never types over your work.

**Calendar · press NFind next available**Opens the four steps

**Tue 10:30 AM**Next opening

Calendar and Find next available are Pro

Example: the N key.

## How it works

- 1

### Press /

Or Ctrl K, or the search button in the top bar.

- 2

### Type

A name, a phone number, a page or a setting. Two letters is enough for clients and team.

- 3

### Pick with the arrows

↑ and ↓ move, Enter opens and Esc closes.

- 4

### Or jump with g

g then a letter goes straight to a page. ? lists them.

## Who it’s for

-

### Barbershop

A client calls, and the front desk types two letters of the name and is on their profile before they finish hello.

-

### Nail salon

The owner presses g then a to flip to the Calendar from anywhere, between clients.

-

### Restaurant

A manager searches for a setting by name instead of remembering which page it lives on.

## The small things

-

### Keys, not clicks

Search, going to a page and the shortcuts list all work from the keyboard.

-

### Only your own business

Client and team results come only from your business, never anyone else’s.

-

### Help in the same box

Help articles are searched alongside your pages, so an answer is a few keys away.

-

### For owners and managers

Client and team search is for owners and managers.

## Questions

Which plan has it?

Every plan. The N key opens Find next available on the Calendar, which is a Pro feature.

What can I search for?

Clients by name, email or phone, team members by name, dashboard pages, each location’s settings sections and screens, the quick actions, and help articles.

Why did a shortcut do nothing?

Shortcuts are off while you are typing in a field or have a dialog open. Click outside and try again.

Is it the same on a Mac?

Yes. Use ⌘K in place of Ctrl K. The / key and the g shortcuts are the same.
