# Email the clients who said yes, and see the reach first

Pick who gets it, write it in your own voice, check how many people it will reach, then send now or schedule it. Every email carries your address and an unsubscribe link.

- Email only
- Only clients who opted in
- Reach shown before you send
- Send now or schedule

## Start from an email written for your trade

On the Email Marketing page, click New campaign and start from a template, one your team saved, or a blank email.

- **Templates for your kind of business.**Win-backs, reminders, seasonal news, birthdays and thank-yous, filtered by industry or by kind of email.
- **Writing help.**With writing help on, Write it for me suggests three drafts you can edit.
- **Names filled in.**{{first_name}} and {{business_name}} are filled in for each client, and “there” is used when there is no name.
- **Test it first.**A live preview on a computer or a phone, as a sample client, and Send me a test.

**New campaignTemplate**Win-back · Hair salon

**Subject**We miss you at Willow & Co.

**Write it for me**3 drafts to choose from

**Send me a test**To your own inbox

Preview as a computer or a phone.

Example: starting a win-back email at a hair salon.

## Choose who gets it, and see the number

A campaign goes to customers who ticked “Stay in the loop” themselves at check-in, minus your unsubscribe list. The count updates as you choose.

- **A group.**Everyone who agreed, recent customers, those who have not been back in a while, regulars (2, 3, 5 or 10+ visits), birthdays this month, or a tag.
- **Narrowed down.**Narrow a group by location, number of visits or loyalty stamps.
- **Or specific clients.**Search by name or email and choose up to 500. Each email is addressed to that client.
- **Latest answer counts.**Someone who unticked the box on a later visit, at any of your locations, is left out until they tick it again.

**Audience**

Will receive**286**

Left out**41Haven’t been back in a while**Agreed to your emails286

**Unsubscribe list**Never emailed again41

Only clients who agreed can be picked.

Example: the audience step for a barbershop.

## Check it, then send or schedule

The Review step runs the checks before anything goes out. Only the owner can send or schedule; managers can write drafts.

- **Checks first.**It shows whether the campaign fits your daily limit, and anything left in [square brackets] must be fixed before it sends.
- **Send now or later.**Save a draft, schedule it for a time, or send it. Edit or delete until it starts sending.
- **Nobody gets it twice.**If NextUp restarts part way through a send, it carries on by itself a few minutes later.
- **Bounces and spam reports.**Addresses that bounce get no more, and a spam report puts the client on your unsubscribe list.

**Review and sendPostal address in the footer**From your first location with an address

**Fits the daily limit**286 emails

**Schedule**Thursday, 10:00 AMScheduled

Example: the Review step.

## How it works

- 1

### Pick a template

Start from one for your trade, or a blank email.

- 2

### Choose the audience

A group or specific clients, with the count shown.

- 3

### Review

The checks run and a test email goes to your own inbox.

- 4

### Send or schedule

Now, or lined up for the slow day you already know is coming.

## Who it’s for

-

### Barbershop

Email the regulars who have not been back in a while, aimed at the slow weekday.

-

### Groomer

A seasonal note to pet owners who agreed to hear from you, with a button to book.

-

### Auto shop

A friendly reminder to recent customers, written as your shop and signed off by name.

## The small things

-

### Your name as the sender

Emails arrive from your business’s name “via NextUp Walk-in”. A one-person shop can use its own name.

-

### Bring your list once

The owner can import an email list one time: clients seen in the last 12 months, signed for by the owner, each welcomed with an unsubscribe link first.

-

### Duplicate and templates

Save a campaign as a template for your team, or duplicate any one as a new draft.

-

### You are the sender

Your business is responsible for following CAN-SPAM and any other law that applies.

## Questions

Who can I email?

Customers who ticked “Stay in the loop” themselves at check-in, minus your unsubscribe list. Records you imported on the Clients page are not included until they check in and tick it.

Can I send text campaigns?

No. Campaigns are sent by email only. Text alerts switch on soon, once carrier verification finishes.

Is there a sending limit?

Yes, to keep your email out of the spam folder: up to 250 in any 24 hours during the free trial, 2,500 a day in a business’s first 60 days, then 10,000. The Review step shows whether a campaign fits.

Which plans have it?

Email campaigns are part of Pro and the Restaurant plan, and the 14-day free trial includes them.
